Tax Break Pitch in Tennessee
Collins Parker, WDEF-TV News 12
September 25, 2006
Supporters have posted a website to explain one of the constitutional amendments you'll find on the Tennessee ballot in November.
It would allow local governments to freeze property taxes for residents when they hit 65 years of age.
But there would be an income cut-off level to be established by the legislature.
The sponsor says it can be complicated, but the state needs to protect older citizens from losing their homes.
You can find more details on Amendment Two at http://www.tennesseniors.com
